The UK Government has today announced that it will be sending 100 coaches to Madrid, to pick up Britons stranded there and to transfer them to Spanish ferry ports such as Santander.  Madrid has become a meeting point for British tourists from beyond Europe, as there are flights from beyond Europe to Madrid bringing British tourists back.  There are information points in Terminals 1 and 4 in Madrid Airport to coordinate returning Britons.
