How many activities do you insure?

Adrenaline junkies, rejoice. We include over 150 extreme sports and activities for no extra charge. Fancy trying bungee jumping? No? Check out our sports and activities list to find if your new thrill is covered.

I want to do sports which aren’t listed. Can you still insure me?

If you can’t see your chosen activity listed, give our customer care team a call. They’ll be pleased to help.

Scuba diving

Will you be able to help me if I’m scuba diving?

Definitely – our scuba diving policies will give you the confidence to make some new underwater friends! We provide cover for scuba diving down to 30 metres, and can extend this down to 40 metres for a small additional fee. Remember that you’ll also need the right qualifications to dive this deep!

Will you be willing to fly me home to receive treatment, or will you treat me abroad?

It depends on what’s happened. Our medical team will assess you and decide the best thing to do. Whether you need to be treated abroad, or flown back home, your health is our number one priority.

Can you fly people out to see me if I’m hospitalised, and I need them?

Yes, because we understand that it’s great to have support when you need it. We are happy to fly out one person - a family member or a friend - to be with you during your hospital stay. We will book you replacement flights home if you miss your original flight, and also take care of your guest’s travel home.

Will you also cover the cost of any equipment hire, such as helmets?

You wouldn’t go kayaking without a life jacket – why would trying an extreme sport abroad be any different? Protective gear is essential, and it’s up to you to pay for it, and to make sure you’re safe.

How long will you pay for my hospital stay? Is there a time limit before I’m flown home?

This all depends on you, and any treatment you need. The medical team will make sure that you’re comfortable and ready to travel before you’re flown back to your home country.

Bungee jumping abroad

If I need a doctor or a nurse on the plane with me, will you take care of that?

Absolutely - we can arrange for a member of medical staff to accompany you, and take care of you during the flight. We can even make sure you have another seat booked next to you, if you need the extra space.

I will need a taxi to my home when I get back to the UK. Will you be able to provide one?

If we helped you fly home, then we’ll also book a taxi trip to your house or the nearest hospital.

If I need follow-up treatment in the UK, can you arrange this?

Once you’re home, any further medical treatment can be sorted through the NHS or any health schemes you may be a part of. We do provide a small benefit for physiotherapy, which should provide a couple of sessions to help you recover.
