Whether you're a pop fan (we're not judging you) or you prefer something with a slightly harder edge, we thought some of you could do with a new playlist for your winter holiday.

So, we approached Dark Adrenaline and asked them about their favourite songs to ski and snowboard to. They were only too happy to create a playlist for us; how very kind. Here's what they had to say on the matter.

"We know that skiing and snowboarding is only improved by the right soundtrack, so we've compiled the ultimate shred list for this season, mixing latest releases with a couple of tracks that have been around the block a few times.

“This playlist should give you extra courage when you’re standing at the top of a black run or when you’re dropping into your nemesis jump, complete with butterflies in your stomach, sweaty palms and in need of a tiny miracle.

“Some of our favourite songs in the playlist include Win Some, Lose Some by You Me At Six. This song is lined with the perfect running beat, encouraging you to play with your terrain all the way down the mountain. Oh, and let’s not forget that no playlist is complete without something from the Foo Fighters, and we’ve added Sean from the new Saint Cecilia EP released this year.

"Creeping Death by Stone Sour adds just the right amount of aggression to fuel your mountain assault manoeuvre - we think you should take it hard, but there’s got to be a method to your madness.

"We’ve also included a couple of tracks by our favourite-female fronted bands Flyleaf, Delain, Halestorm and UK-based bands Neverstar and The Dirty Youth, providing you with a mix of punk, rock and power metal. Stardust by Delain allows you to catch your breath for a few seconds before pushing you through to a flying, feel good chorus.

"To round it all off, we added Coming for You, the title track from the new Offspring album. We like to see if we can get some air on each ‘hey, hey, hey, hey!’ – and we’re pretty sure that you will too after hearing this. Now get out there, enjoy the music, and have fun. Don’t forget to wear your helmet and be safe. Hey!”
