Snowboarding in Tignes
Tignes is one of France’s most snowboard-friendly resorts, having long welcomed riders before many other of the Alps’ slopes. With its soaring glacier area, snowboarding is possible here for up to 11 months of the year. Tignes Cross Country
There are four loops of cross-country terrain wind through the Tignes ski resort at around 2,100 metres. The cross-country routes in Tignes are mostly flat and gentle, curving around the base of the ski slopes and with each individual trail reaching up to a maximum of 7 km. A more challenging, intermediate cross-country trail runs through Tignes Brévières, past sweeping forests and sparkling lakes.
When to Go?
Tignes tends to enjoy some of the best snow coverage in Europe, with snow-sure skiing running right to the end of the season at the end of May.
