Trip cancellation & interruption
Unforeseen circumstances may force you to cancel or interrupt a trip. A travel insurance plan that includes coverage for trip cancellation/interruption can cover you against financial loss if you need to cancel or interrupt your trip due to a covered reason.
What's offered in the plans:
The benefits below apply to the most popular plan – Gold. If you request a quote, our system will show you all available plans.
Since you can specify exactly how much you have spent on your trip, you only pay for the coverage you want. Please input the pre-paid costs (up to $100,000) for accomodations and transportation and the system will calculate your plan cost based on those costs.
Option 1: Cancel for ANY reason - This option allows you to cancel your trip for any reason. Make sure you have read the conditions for this option here.
Option 2: Cancel for work reasons - This option adds additional work related covered reasons to the trip cancellation/interruption benefit and also includes Business Assistance Services*. This is included in the Gold product for all states except: FL, NY, PA and WA.
These optional coverages can only be purchased within 15 days of initial deposit and more than 48 hours prior to departure date.
Other coverages
- Medical Expense benefits: pays for emergency medical expenses incurred while on a trip.
- Emergency Evacuation & Repatriation of Remains covers evacuation and transportation as directed by a Physician to the nearest adequate medical facility, (home in the event of death or if medically required).
- Baggage coverage reimburses you if your luggage is lost, damaged, or stolen while you are on your trip. Baggage delay coverage reimburses you for the purchase of essential items if your bags are delayed.
