On completing the first year of his undergraduate degree, one customer decided to book a flight overseas to take a few weeks in the sun.

But being short of money he decided to hitch hike from Coventry to Heathrow. As luck would have it the driver of his first lift was actually going to Heathrow and turned out to be an air traffic control inspector.

For two hours he was told stories about near misses, accidents, plane faults and mishaps at airports. On arrival at Heathrow the student called asking if he was covered for cancellation on the grounds of being ‘too frightened to fly'!
