On staying at the Montreal branch of a famous worldwide hotel chain, one customer caught food poisoning from lobster he had eaten in the restaurant.
As a way of apology the traveller was offered a free night's stay in their top London hotel on arrival back in the UK.
At the hotel in London the traveller didn't feel like eating and made use of the mini bar... When checking his bill he was pleased to confirm he had not been charged for the room. The bar bill however left a considerable hole in his pocket.
