St. Anton am Arlberg is one of the more established and popular resorts in Austria, and it is particularly appealing to more experienced skiers because of its steep slopes and deep snow.
It is considered one of the best locations for alpine skiing, providing slopes that are difficult to find anywhere else in the world. Many of the slopes are easily accessible thanks to the modern ski lifts that are installed in many parts of the resort.

St. Anton am Arlberg has made many modern upgrades to its resort in recent years but maintains its traditional feel.
The resort is also well known for its nightlife, with plenty of bars for skiers who are looking to party into the night, once they have stepped away from the slopes. Some of the most popular spots include Mooserwirt, which is part of the Galzig ski area, while the nearby Krazy Kanguruh is also busy each evening.

Stuben
There are ski runs for all difficulty levels at Stuben, offering fast slopes with lots of powder for more experienced skiers, while beginners can also enjoy less-challenging routes.
Intermediate-Advanced: A large amount of the Stuben slopes offer an exciting challenge, and the high level of snow fall means that there’s often fresh powder to enjoy. There are lots of deep snow areas and mogul slopes.
St Christoph
A popular space for families, St Christoph offers a nursery and some of the best ski schools in the area. There is also easy access to many of the surroundings slopes.
Intermediate-Advanced: There are many slopes to test skiers at an intermediate level, with long runs offering the chance to travel across large parts of the area. There are varied runs that offer you different experiences and challenges for each one.
Beginners: One of the better areas for new skiers to pick up the skills, while the Maienseee I & II runs offer a good starting point when stepping onto the snow for the first time.
Klösterle
Stunning natural views can be found at Klösterle, which is located near the foot of the Arlberg.
Intermediate: There are many slopes that are perfect for new skiers looking to make the next step in difficulty. The eastern part of the ski area offers more challenging pistes, while there is also a valley run that leads down to the base.
Beginners: Much of the area is suitable for new skiers, with plenty of wide slopes offering good opportunities to practice your skills. There are also practice lifts and a beginner’s area, which helps to make it an ideal starting location if you are new to the snow.

St. Anton Ski Passes
There are various options when choosing your ski lift tickets, as there are different price ranges depending on the duration of the ticket.
A one-day pass for adults is €56.50, while children are €34
A six-day pass costs €300 for adults and €180 for children.
Skiers can also choose to get a beginner ticket from €24 for half a day, while hourly tickets can be bought starting at €29 for up to two hours.
Season tickets can be bought if you plan to make multiple visits to the resort, with adults costing €860 and children costing €492.
Ski Schools
Despite belief that St. Anton is more appealing to experienced skiers, there are still several ski schools available in the area with training available for all ages and skill levels.
Equipment Hire
The are plenty of ski equipment shops in the surrounding valleys at St. Anton resort where you can rent your gear before you head on the snow.
Some of the available equipment hire stores available on the mountains include Alber Sport, Intersport Arlberg and Sport Jennewein. There are also sports shops in the village including Hervis and Sport Ski West.
Family Fun in St. Anton
St. Anton has plenty to keep children entertained if you are planning to visit for a family trip. There are childcare options across the resort, along with many ski schools suitable for preparing children for the first time on the slopes.
There is also a family friendly spot at the Kinderwelt, which includes magic carpets and easy beginner slopes to help introduce young kids to the snow.

Operating times
St. Anton is usually open between November and April each year.
Many of the ski lifts at the resort usually open between 8.30 and 9.00, and then close between 16.00 and 17.00.
