And they're off! The Arctic V begin the race of their lives in Greenland

By Dale Western

We're delighted to announce that Chemmy Alcott and The Arctic V have made it to Greenland safely - and today's the first day of The Arctic Circle Race; the challenge they've trained so hard for.

Over the next few days, the group will cover 160km (that's over the distance of a marathon a day), and they'll be cross-country skiing in temperatures as low as -35ºC. They'll be living off pre-packed rations and sleeping in tents in the snow. It's fair to say it'll be no picnic - but it's an experience they'll never forget, and well be right behind them.

Here's how you can keep up with all the action while they're racing...
